Catamarans and
speedboats leave from Mercado Modelo in Salvador,
next to the Elevador Lacerda and the Pelourinho.
The trip takes approximately 2 hours to Morro
de São Paulo, through the open sea. Biotur
usually has two schedules per day.
Useful tips
- It is wise to book tickets with a five-day advance during
high season.
- If you know you usually get seasick, it is best to medicate
yourself at least an hour before departure.
- In case of rough sea, which is common during winter,
the same boat transport companies may offer alternative
land routes. These trips last around three and a half
hours.
- If your flight leaves from Salvador, remember: the airport
is far away! Leave Morro de São Paulo at least
4 hours before your departure (6 hours, if the sea is
rough).
