Useful tips
- It is wise to book tickets with a three-day advance during travel season.
- If you know you usually get seasick, it is best to medicate yourself at least an hour before departure.
- In case of rough sea, which is common during winter, the same boat transport companies may offer alternative land routes. These trips last around three and a half hours.
- If your flight leaves from Salvador, remember: the airport is far away! Leave Morro de São Paulo at least 4 hours before your departure (6 hours, if the sea is rough).
- Get information on the state of open sea in a travel agency that sells boat tickets.
